Using LDT-Decoder on the Central Station 2!

The Central Station 2 transmit commands on the Märklin-Motorola format to the accessory decoder for switching turnouts, signals or turntables. This enables the control unit to respond to the LDT-Decoder with the MM-Format (e.g. QS-DEC-II, S-DEC-4-MM, SA-DEC-4-MM, M-DEC-MM, LS-DEC and TT-DEC).

The Central Station 2 provides the s88-feedback bus for the feedback of events from the tracks. The LDT-Feedback Modules RM-88-N und RM-88-N-O (both for contact rails – one isolated rail) and RM-GB-8-N (for central conductor control) as well as the Data-Switch DSW-88 can communicate with the Central Station 2 without any problems.

Recommendations for the installation of LDT-Decoder on the Central Station 2:

1. Connecting the Decoder to the Central Station 2

LDT-Decoder will get always the digital information via the “Connection Layout” (standard track output). This connection is located at the Central Station 2 directly next to the power supply connection. At the Central Station 2 identifies “B” the color “red” and “0” the color “brown”.

2. Programming the decoder address

The LDT-Decoder has not to be connected to the programming-track output during the programming of the decoder address. The connection of the decoder to the standard track output shall remain.

It is important for the programming that no locomotive is active on both drive controller.

Please proceed now as follows:

1. Deactivate the drive controllers at the Central Station 2 by entering “No” locomotives.

2. Start now the Central Station 2 via “setup” and “restart”.

3. Now you can program the decoder in accordance to the operation instruction via the “keyboard” of the Central Station 2.
